Description Rob DeRosa 2017-02-13 21:34:15 UTC
in Visual Studio 2017, if you create a new iOS project, the MinimumOSVersion key has no value in the .plist file. This will lead to a build error right out of the gate.

"Xamarin.iOS 10.4.0 does not support a deployment target of 10.2 for iOS (the maximum is 10.1). Please select an older deployment target in your project's Info.plist or upgrade to a newer version of Xamarin.iOS"

I have VS for Mac installed w/ Xcode 8.1 and iOS 10.2. Both VS for Mac and XS specify this value for you during project creation. This leads to a poor first-run experience for developers new to Xamarin.
