## Non-engineering team preliminary quick review

Based on a quick search, I see that JDK 9 is an early access preview at this time [1]. The upstream Android SDK tools from Google are likely not yet compatible with that new version at this time. Xamarin support for JDK 9 will follow some time after the upstream Android SDK explicitly mentions compatibility with JDK 9, and that will most likely be some time after the "General Availability" date for JDK 9 [2].

In short, please use Java JDK 8 (1.8) for compatibility with the Android SDK and Xamarin.Android. Thanks!
