RESOLVED NOT_ON_ROADMAP

Description Ruofeng Lin 2012-05-19 08:14:31 UTC
I'm making a javascript like script compiler which need to generate code at runtime. And I'm using System.Reflection.Emit for dynamic code generating.
For debugging I'm also trying to generate the symbol file for the dynamic generated code, everything ran well under windows(default .Net Framework)
but once I test under Android.
The code causing trouble is:

AssemblyBuilder.DefineDynamicModule(ModulePath, true);

Mono for Android throws the following exception:

The assembly for default symbol writer cannot be loaded

I tried to reference Mono.CompilerService.SymbolWriter.dll, but still the same error.

Mono does not currently support generating symbols for dynamic code.

We currently have no plans on implementing this feature.
