apache log file

Greetings, we're running a .NET 4.6 based async long-polling implementation under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and are sporadically getting hanged mod_mono_server4.exe processes. Attached is an apache log that has been running for a couple of days.

We've fiddled with KeepAlive and MonoMaxActiveRequests, MonoMaxWaitingRequests and have gotten it working for a few days, but then it hangs again with three mod_mono_server4.exe processes staying active with 2-3 cores being used at 80% to 100%.

Hello,

Did you have a chance to try with latest stable mono (5.0 on ubuntu repositories)?

Thank you,
Ludovic

Our solution was to work around it, we ended up using Apache's mod_proxy and a custom .exe that uses HttpListener. We do still get "End of file found: read_data failed" and "Command stream corrupted, last command was -1" but mono_server4 doesn't hang anymore.

As far as I can tell logrotate is also partly to blame.

Thank you for your feedback! I am marking this bug as resolved, but if you see fit, please fill up a bug for the other two exceptions you are witnessing. This might in fact be due to logrotate which move the file without synchronising with Mono.
