If XVS needs to delete keys under HKCU\Software\Xamarin during uninstall, it should explicitly remove only the subkeys it owns. Nuking the whole HKCU\Software\Xamarin key is dirty behavior.

I think this automatically got marked as fixed because it was referenced in a commit.

The commit only works around the issue.

I have checked this issue with steps given in bug description and observed that it is working fine. HKCU\Software\Xamarin\Inspector still exists after follow the complete steps give in bug description.

Following steps:
1. Install Workbooks XamarinInteractive-1.0.0.330_a43c46b2c492a38ca99c04bb7c1f0cd38f137e60
2. Verify that HKCU\Software\Xamarin\Inspector exists.
3. Install VS2017 RC, select Xamarin workload (installs XVS 4.3.0.624)
4. Verify that HKCU\Software\Xamarin\Inspector exists, still.
5. Upgrade to XVS like 4.3.0.631.

Hence closing this issue.

Thanks!
