When the user tries to create a new project with xamarin studio and master/77a92500 the IDE cannot locate "/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/iOS/Xamarin.iOS.Common.targets" and it fails when trying to create the solution file.
The following gist contains the failing environment and the stable one that works: https://gist.github.com/mandel-macaque/bb5da2b7b774a05359823434c12f5b0f (contains failing env, working env and IDE log).
Do you have a correctly installed XI ?
Inside /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/ you have symlinks to the products, e.g. iOS would point to:
If your setup is hosed (e.g. Current not pointing to `git` or a version installed) the that error could happen.
`make install-system` should fix this for your development tree.
hmm strange, I did the make install and make install-system, did an update on master and worked, closing this as invalid.
If/when you install any XI .pkg, e.g. bug triaging/fixing, you will need to do a `make install-system` again (from your checkout).
