In Visual Studio (and maybe XS?) if you inspect running threads you will see that the main thread is listed as a background thread and not the Main thread.  This makes debugging threading issues more annoying than it has to be.

Luckily the main thread is always the first one in the window by default but still...

Hi Jeremy,

If it's possible, can you please attach some screenshots demonstrating what you're referring to? Also if you can, please upload a minimal example project that shows this behavior in the Threads window.

Thus I am marking this as NEEDINFO until we can get these items.

I'll try to screen shot something for you in the next few days.  As for an example just pick one: it's been happening on Xamarin for every project since 2013.
