RESOLVED FIXED

Description Eric Beisecker 2012-04-26 18:11:40 UTC
I cannot go to the definition of any code member that on a line of code that does not compile.

Example:
var array = new int[1];
Console.WriteLine("Num Elements " + array.Length

It is not possible me to use the 'Go-To-Definition' feature on the 'Length' property of array. (Or anything else on that line except for 'Console')

This used to work in the 2.8.8 versions of MonoDevelop.

Full test case:

public class MyClass
{
	public MyClass ()
	{
		var array = new int[1];
		Console.WriteLine("Num Elements " + array.Length
	}
}

The statement isn't inserted. I fear that we'll have many of such cases and we'll not getting near 2.8.x anytime soon - we need to fix case by case.
