RESOLVED NORESPONSE

Description Aaron Olds 2016-11-08 05:53:52 UTC
Taking a very simple Xamarin Android starter application I can clean build however when I go to deploy / debug on Raspberry PI 3 running Android 6 I get the following error:

Detecting installed packages

Deployment failed because of an internal error: 'ps' output not recognized

Deployment failed. Internal error.

Looking around I saw posts stating the ps command outputs in a different format than expected. Here is the output when I adb shell to the PI:

rpi3:/ # ls
acct file_contexts.bin lib selinux_version
cache fstab.rpi3 mnt sepolicy
charger init oem service_contexts
config init.environ.rc proc storage
d init.rc property_contexts sys
data init.rpi3.rc root system
default.prop init.usb.configfs.rc sbin ueventd.rc
dev init.usb.rc sdcard ueventd.rpi3.rc
etc init.zygote32.rc seapp_contexts vendor
rpi3:/ #

Pre-canned Android image came from: http://raspex.exton.se/?tag=raspand

I can manually adb install the apk but this does no good for debugging.

Although I'm not familiar with the raspand project, Google has released Android Things which is their version of running Android on Raspberry Pi. You can check it out here:

https://developer.android.com/things/hardware/raspberrypi.html

If you can comment back whether this is still an issue for you, we can move forward and attempt to try and reproduce this. However this might an unsupported scenario given the nature of this raspAnd project.
