Using the attached sample, the code running on a background thread is accounted to the UI thread.
The code in the background thread should be accounted separately, like it was in release 0.24.
The profiler release is 0.38.

Right, this is a bug already fixed in the Mono runtime profiler, so please, make sure you update all the Xamarin products from the beta channel, which is where the fix has landed so far.
I've tried again with Xamarin.Android 126.96.36.199, but I'm still only seeing the first thread.
Should I be waiting for an updated Xamarin Profiler as well ?
hmm, that X.A version should have the fix. I assume you tried profiling a live app, right? That is, not loading an existing MLPD file generated with previous versions?
If so, can you please share with me the MLPD so that I can have a look?
I did try with a live one, multiple times, making sure the app was properly uninstalled first, a completely rebuilt by removing bin/obj.
I'll make a new file to send you.
