Description Daniel Cazzulino 2016-10-31 12:10:22 UTC
A stable and clean install of AS 2.2.2 produces AVDs that XVS can't start.

The following command is used in our current stable bits to determine the available emulators:

> android.bat list avd

Which on latest AS produces the following:

The following Android Virtual Devices could not be loaded:
       Name: Nexus_5_API_22
       Path: C:\Users\gmora\.android\avd\Nexus_5_API_22.avd
      Error: Uknown error

Which is caused by AS essentially discontinuing the tool: https://developer.android.com/studio/tools/help/android.html

> This tool is no longer supported. You should instead use Android Studio to create AVDs and create projects.

This has a fix on master, which we need to verify as fixed against stable/C9
