RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 44667

Description mli 2016-10-25 19:20:21 UTC
After updating to Xamarin.Android 7.0.1 from 6.1.2, I can no longer build my Android project. The error that I get is:

"/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/Android/Xamarin.Android.Common.targets: error : Error executing task ResolveLibraryProjectImports: Could not load file or assembly or one of its dependencies."

Here's my Xamarin Studio info:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Xamarin.Android
Version: 7.0.1.3 (Xamarin Business)
Android SDK: /Users/joeli/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-macosx
	Supported Android versions:
		6.0 (API level 23)
		7.0 (API level 24)

SDK Tools Version: 25.2.2
SDK Platform Tools Version: 25
SDK Build Tools Version: 25

Xamarin.Mac
Version: 2.10.0.105 (Xamarin Business)

Xamarin.iOS
Version: 10.0.1.10 (Xamarin Business)
Hash: ad1cd42
Branch: cycle8-sr0-xi
Build date: 2016-10-03 15:18:44-0400
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have completely reinstalled the Xamarin Studio, but with no luck. I should mention that the iOS project builds fine.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Hi

Are you able to build from the command line?

xbuild <your.csproj> /t:Build /v:d

Can you post the diagnostic output?

Are you running on a case sensitive file system?

are you able to list the all the files in

/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/Android/

ls -la /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/Android/

Hi Dean,

It looks like the issue that I encountered is the same as bug 44667 (https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=44667), where the LibZipSharp.* files needs to be renamed to "libZipSharp.*".

Thank you very much for your help!

Yup that was the bug I was thinking of. Its been fixed and will be shipped in our C9 release. In the mean time you should be able to rename the file locally to get it working.
