Description Atsushi Eno 2012-04-20 03:53:35 UTC
I'm getting NRE when I tried to update translation resources:

atsushi@atsushi-Aspire-3820:/svn/monodevelop/main/po$ LC_ALL=en_US make update-po
PATH="/home/atsushi/android-sdk-linux/tools:/home/atsushi/android-sdk-linux/platform-tools:/home/atsushi/android-sdk-linux//platform-tools:/devel/bin:/home/atsushi/bin:/usr/lib/lightdm/lightdm:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="/home/atsushi/svn/monodevelop/local-config:/devel/lib/pkgconfig:/devel/share/pkgconfig:/devel/lib/pkgconfig:" LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/devel/lib:" DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH="" MONO_GAC_PREFIX="/devel:" MONODEVELOP_LOCALE_PATH="/home/atsushi/svn/monodevelop/main/build/locale" MONO_ADDINS_REGISTRY="/home/atsushi/svn/monodevelop/main/build/bin" exec -a "mdtool" /devel/bin/mono --debug "/home/atsushi/svn/monodevelop/main/build/bin/mdtool.exe" gettext-update -f:../Main.sln

Works for me - which md version ?

Can you try it from inside the IDE ?
Comment 2 Atsushi Eno 2012-04-24 02:34:31 UTC
The latest master still does not work.

Yet I could update po from inside the IDE.
Comment 3 Mike Krüger 2012-04-24 03:35:45 UTC
fixed.
Comment 4 Mike Krüger 2012-05-02 00:17:00 UTC
Needed to revert it - po files need now to be generated from inside md.
Comment 5 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-05-02 12:08:29 UTC
I wonder why the gettext scanner depends on the mimetype system? Maybe we could remove that dependency?
Comment 6 Mike Krüger 2012-05-02 13:41:54 UTC
It's because of the regex patterns <--> mime type connection. Therefore md-tool can no longer generate .po files.
Comment 7 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-05-03 12:54:52 UTC
Uh, we have a broken feature: mdtool gettext-update. We should fix it or disable it completely.

This bug was targeted for a past milestone, moving to the next active milestone.
Comment 9 Marius Ungureanu 2017-05-30 16:00:06 UTC
I fixed this some time ago.
