I can't find any option to debug an Intents Extension project using Xamarin Studio. I can see Debug.WriteLine in the Xcode device logs as with other app extension type projects.

I checked Stable and Alpha.

This works in Xcode as you're probably aware.

Is this on the roadmap to be able to debug Intents Extension projects with breakpoints?

Breakpoints within core code (PCL) also doesn't break.
Comment 2 Manuel de la Peña [MSFT] 2016-10-17 08:49:02 UTC
Hello,

Please include your full build logs, crash reports (if any),
test case (to reproduce) and all version informations.

The easiest way to get exact version information is to use the
"Xamarin Studio" menu, "About Xamarin Studio" item, "Show Details"
button and copy/paste the version informations (you can use the
"Copy Information" button).

Thanks Manuel, you'll see my exact version information in the already attached file.

There's no build log or crash report to provide. I'll upload a blank solution with an Intents Extension project. All boiler plate code. You'll see you cannot debug the Intents Extension project, only the main app.

empty starter project, no entitlements

Needs entitlements etc to actually run this, but it's enough to see you cannot debug the intents extension.

Hello, you need Xamarin from the Alpha channel for debugging extensions to work:
 https://developer.xamarin.com/releases/studio/xamarin.studio_6.2/xamarin.studio_6.2/#Debugging_iOS_App_Extension_Projects

From your logs I can see you are using XS 6.1, please update your Xamarin tooling to alpha channel so you get to try this new feature and please reopen this bug if the issue persist.

Cheers!
