Description philip 2016-10-06 12:02:10 UTC
NoWrap and TailTruncation should prevent only automatic wrapping of text (truncate). However, it also prevents "\n" spans from moving to a new line. If a span explicitly specifies a new line, then a new line should be started regardless of LineBreakMode settings.

This is the text:

	FormattedText = new FormattedString();
	FormattedText.Spans.Add(new Span { Text = "string1"});
	FormattedText.Spans.Add(new Span { Text = "\n" });
	FormattedText.Spans.Add(new Span { Text = "stringToBeClipped});

When using TailTruncation, the output is

"string1..."

instead of the expected

"string1"
"stringToB..."

On Android, created custom LabelRenderer and found that

Control.SetHorizontallyScrolling(true);

maintained the new lines in FormattedString while preventing wrapping.
