RESOLVED FIXED

Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-04-17 10:07:04 UTC
When any project file is saved, all msbuild builders should be reloaded, because they may reference the changed project.
Comment 1 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2012-04-17 10:07:33 UTC
This would fix e.g. building a project after the project it references has been renamed.
Comment 2 Lluis Sanchez 2015-11-12 04:30:52 UTC
We are reloading the project in the builder when it changes, and we also do it before building. If that's not enough. I'd need a specific use case.

I have checked this issue XS XS 6.0 (build 2066, following cases I have used to verify this issue:

>>Case 1:
1. Create a iOS project in XS.
2. Add iOS binding project.
3. Add reference of binding project in main project.
4. build the application.
5. close the solution then reopen the solution

Observed that it builds successfully and reloads successfully in XS, when we reopen it.

>>Case 2:
1. Rename the iOS binding project.
2. Rebuild the application.
3. Close the solution then reopen the solution

Observed that it builds successfully and reloads successfully in XS, when we reopen it.

>>Case 3:
1. Rename the Main iOS project.
2. Rebuild the solution.
3. 3. Close the solution then reopen the solution

Observed that it builds successfully and reloads successfully in XS, when we reopen it.

@Lluis:Please let me know, I am going in right direction or if I have to
check something else, to verify this issue?

Thanks!

Comment 4 Lluis Sanchez 2015-12-01 11:28:14 UTC
It's more or less correct. There is no need to close and reopen the solution. The solution just needs to build after renaming one of the projects. There may be other cases, but it is hard to tell.
