Description of Problem:
After a recent update to Xamarin 6.1 I see that my Xamarin Studio Interface is right to left, I have no idea whats going on and whats causing this problem. This error did not exist in previous versions. For your Information, I don't have any right to left culture in MacOSX. Only have RTL keyboard.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. update to 6.1 from 6.0
IDE is right to left
Text editor is messed up
How often does this happen?
I tried to go to prefrence>change language to English / Default. Sometimes this will work and IDE works as before but some other time even changing interface does not lead to correction of layout and i need to restart my MAC osx to fix this problem.
It could be related to localization.
Can you please help? Is there any settings file i can delete and see what will happen? My mac's Region is set to United States.
Hey, Any update on this bug?
I'm having the same issue with the last update of Xamarin Studio on a mac.
I'm using Mac OS Sierra Version 10.12.1 and Xamarin Studio version 6.1.1 build 17.
All the menus are left to right, it started right after I've updated and wasn't happening on the previous version.
The solution in my case was (from the attached link):
Xamarin Studio -> Preferences -> Visual Style -> User Interface Language
-> Change from "Default" to "English".
Not sure why it set it automatically to be LTR, the Xmarin Studio UI doesn't really support it.
