The AVD manager does not appear under tools, etc.

Now, I know that the device specific items like ''manage devices' etc do not apply, but it was disconcerting to me to be unable to get to at least the SDK manager through the menu.

This is MonoDevelop addin, needs to go to Atsushi or Alan.
Comment 3 Atsushi Eno 2012-04-16 13:15:17 UTC
It seems we never added those menus etc. for non-application project e.g. library project (non-binding, non-"Android Library").
Comment 4 Atsushi Eno 2012-04-23 00:34:03 UTC
Fixed, but only for "Open AVD Manager" and "Manage Devices" commands. Let me know if you think there are more commands that this bug also apply.

Comment 6 Alan McGovern 2012-05-01 06:59:33 UTC
This commit made the AVD manager and Manage Devices items display for all project types if monodroid is installed which isn't really the desired behaviour. Could we make it appear only if there is a mono for android project of any kind in the loaded solutions/workspaces?
Comment 7 Atsushi Eno 2012-05-07 01:36:21 UTC
Why should those commands be active only when there are MfA project? I think such conditional command appearance will confuse our customers.

It's not right to have this in the NEEDINFO category - I'll resolve as INVALID for now because that is the opinion expressed by Atsushi most recently, but the way add-in specific menu items function should be standardized at some point.

We have all the info, we just need to decide. Perhaps this should be added to the MD discussion.
