Please create a new report on
Developer Community or GitHub with
your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
How to reproduce:
1) position caret at the beginning of any line with an indent (ie. leftmost column, not where the first character is)
2) invoke the "unindent selection" function via keyboard shortcut
Observe that nothing seems to happen. In reality, the operation has been performed but the screen hasn't been refreshed. If you now leave the line (eg. by cursor up/down) you will see the line update to the expected state. If you unindent enough times to remove all indentation, you will see the first letter appear in the first column, but the rest of the line will be unchanged.
If any of the following is true, the command works as expected:
* there is text selected
* the menu is used
* caret isn't in the first column
