Description Arsen.Shnurkov 2012-04-06 03:21:15 UTC
Look at the page
http://www.mono-project.com/Mono:Runtime:Documentation:SoftDebugger
(it is first result of google search for "mono soft debugger")

This page should contain the link to the description of
Soft Debugger AddOn for Monodevelop.

Main questions which are unanswered:
Why the command "Start debugging with Soft Debugger Addon" is available only when some project is created (console project or aspnet project).
Why it is not possible just to connect to remote agent ?

How addon actually works:
- which APIs are consumed(used) by that addon
- which APIs are provided by that addon
- how addon obtain files (does it require an access to files in filesystem?)

Is it really necessary to have a project to be opened to debug with that addon
?

How to start debugging as server for use with
mono --debug --aot=soft-debug --debugger-agent=transport=dt_socket,address=ipv4v6addr:port,server=n
?

What is the purpose of variable:
MONODEVELOP_SDB_TEST
?

If you have questions about the soft debugger, please post them to the Mono mailing list (http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list), or you can ask in irc at irc.gimp.org, #mono channel.
