In the "iPhone Simulator Target", we have:
- iPhone Simulator 4.3
- iPad Simulator 4.3
Do the version numbers mean anything other than retina display?
We don't need to reiterate that things in the "Simulator Target" menu are "Simulator"s.
- iPhone (Default)
- Retina Display iPhone
- iPhone 4+ (Retina)
Yes, they do. They're the available combinations of devices and simulator OS versions. This varies as Apple includes and removes OS images from the simulator. For example, I currently have 5.0 and 4.3.2. We don't have a way to put the simulator in retina mode.
"Default" means use the one that best matches the app's compile settings.
And the reason they include "simulator" in the name is so that they match the items that show up in run->run with.
