Sample to reproduce bug

This one took many hours to track down to the root cause because our app is large now but I finally figured out the conditions to reproduce.

Basically if you have a map embedded in a ListView header and from that Page you push a modal Page contained in a NavigationPage, the app crashes with:

Java.Lang.ClassCastException
android.widget.ImageView cannot be cast to android.view.ViewGroup

To reproduce, just open the attached Sample, ensure you choose the Droid project and then run and click the 'click me' button.

My workaround for now is to not present it in a NavigationPage but that means I get no title and no toolbar buttons. It's not ideal at all.

Thank you for taking the time to submit the bug. We tried to reproduce the issue you reported but were unable given the description. If you could please attach a reproduction to the bug by starting with a clean Xamarin.Forms project and adding just the code necessary to demonstrate the issue, we would very much appreciate it.

For your convenience, we have created some reproduction best practices viewable here: https://gist.github.com/jassmith/92405c300e54a01dcc6d

Warm regards,
Xamarin Forms Team

Hi, the sample attached to my initial submission reproduces the bug for you from a clean Xamarin.Forms project.

Did this not work for you?
Comment 3 Rui Marinho 2016-08-10 22:02:31 UTC
