RESOLVED FIXED

Description michael 2016-07-15 00:23:47 UTC
There's a legal requirement to display the attribution text when using Google maps within the app, however the text returned by the method to retrieve the text (GoogleApiAvailability.Instance.GetOpenSourceSoftwareLicenseInfo(...)) is null.

Happens when using the Google Play Services component 29.0.0.1 or 29.0.0.2 nuget packages. There seems to be an issue raised with Google about this as well (https://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=9813) but not sure if there are also changes required for the Xamarin bindings

As mentioned above this appears to be a Google issue and we need to wait for them to resolve it.

However I have assigned to Jon to be sure.

This works fine on newer versions of Google Play Services.
