This seems similar this issue. https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=42323
Comment 3 faceoffers28 2016-07-15 20:17:43 UTC
Downgrading to Xamarin Studio 5.10.3 fixed the .Nib issue on my Mac. That issue must have been tied to Xamarin Studio or Mono. Now, the app builds and deploys.

I need to make a correction on my last comment. As you can see, the Mono versions have not changed, so all I did to fix the issue was downgrade to Xamarin Studio 5.10.3 on my Mac. This fixed the issue.
Comment 5 Paul DiPietro [MSFT] 2017-06-19 18:53:10 UTC
For upkeep, due to comments on the other issue and no other reporters for quite some time now, we'll reasonably assume this is no longer an issue. If it is, please reopen with any pertinent information.
