Sometimes the MD UI is completely unresponsive to user input until you click on one of the buttons in the top left of the window. Once you minimize to the dock and then re-show the UI, everything works perfectly.

This is probably a GTK issue but I have no repro and it should really be tracked somewhere.

This issue is still visible with monodevelop master and mono 2.10.9_10

Do you have any context for this? What were you doing when this happened?
Comment 3 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-02-01 13:55:17 UTC
Is this still an issue with the latest GTK+?
Comment 4 Alan McGovern 2013-02-01 16:01:00 UTC
Yup, I still see this very frequently. You can also restore mouse input by clicking on the desktop and then back in MD. As such I think the issue is that Gtk is not correctly informed that it has focus under some circumstances, or maybe it propagates that focus has been lost and so ignores input until it actually loses and regains focus.

I hate to ask "is this still an issue" again.. but I haven't noticed this one, and I know there were some focus-related patches that went into gtk+ not too long ago. Have you still been noticing this one recently?

Bump!

Still a gtk bug on mac. The main window in XS still ignores mouse events sometimes until you click on the desktop and then focus back in to the main window. I experienced this about 2 days ago with the latest of everything on MacOS.
