I have use MasterDetailPage on UWP.
If I set MasterBehavior = MasterBehavior.Split;
And when the split panel show up. it will cover the detail page, the detail page only show the half page (left side).
But when I set IsPresented = false, the split pannel not show, but the detail still only show the left part(even now it got more width after split panel hide). The right side only show like blank. The only way to show a complete page : click other detail page and click bake or just resize the window.
I think this is a render problem, I think if MasterBehavior = MasterBehavior.Split; when the split panel show up from left or hide, you guys must render the detail page again.
For made a sample file for this, took my too much time.
But finally I made a sample file.
Please download the sample.zip from attachment list, and Run to test. Use UWP Desktop version, before test let the window width to small.
If you still don't know the problem I also upload some screenshot attachments for you understand. please download it and check it.
Created attachment 16343 [details]
Created attachment 16344 [details]
I need to change the problem details.
1. MasterBehavior = MasterBehavior.Split; change to MasterBehavior = MasterBehavior.Default; and test on UWP desktop with min width window size.
2.Looks like the problem not only about MasterDetailPage, also about Listview.
Sorry but i m not understanding the problem. Can you provide steps ?
Hi, did you see the attachment? there is some images and sample file for test. there is some description inside the sample file, you just need to run it.
basically what I'm saying is: The Page only render the half page after the split panel show on, but when the split panel hide, the page not render again, still only show half page.(first time it show half page because the half area cover by split panel, but after the split panel hide, the all area show on but only the last render area could visible. not all)
please see the attachment.
@Rui Marinho, It's been 1 month after your last response, could you please tell me did you still not understand after saw the attachment or too busy? Thank you.
Sorry i have been busy, and forgot to look at your feedback.
I missed the detail about the minimum width. I able to reproduce the problem.
I don't think this is valid anymore as changes have been made and fixed for this.
Default behavior is that the user needs to control to open/close it. Split means that you always have it open. Popover means that it will open and close.
I validated all three and working correctly via the sample provided and my Hanselman.Forms app: https://github.com/jamesmontemagno/Hanselman.Forms
@James Montemagno , Looks like you didn't understand the problem, the problem not about the split mode, it's about the page render, maybe it's not recognized the container page width sometimes, and will only display the half size(left part, because there is some problem with the page width calculation), that's the problem what I mention.
I don't know Is that fixed or not, I hope you test it before change to fix.
