Description Jorge Cantón 2016-05-10 11:26:06 UTC
Hi,

    I have some problems with the drag and drop feature of GTKSharp.

I are using this code for set data from a custom widget:

private static TargetEntry[] target_table = new TargetEntry[]
{
      new TargetEntry ("STRING", 0, (uint) TargetType.String ),
      new TargetEntry ("text/plain", 0, (uint) TargetType.String),
      new TargetEntry ("application/x-rootwindow-drop", 0, (uint) TargetType.RootWindow)
};

On constructor method:
// Drag and drop
Gtk.Drag.SourceSet(this, Gdk.ModifierType.Button1Mask | Gdk.ModifierType.Button3Mask, target_table, Gdk.DragAction.Copy | Gdk.DragAction.Move);
this.DragDataGet += HandleSourceDragDataGet;

And finally HandleSourceDragDataGet method:
private void HandleSourceDragDataGet(object sender, DragDataGetArgs args)
{
    if (args.Info == (uint)TargetType.RootWindow)
    {
           WaveEditorServices.LogService.WriteDebug("Asset Preview debug", "I was dropped on the rootwin");
    }
    else
    {
           args.SelectionData.Text = this.file.Id;
    }
}

After the line "args.SelectionData.Text = this.file.Id;" the Text property is null on MacOSX. However this work fine on Windows and Linux. So data are sending as null.

Which is the problem with my code?

Regards!
Jorge Canton

This seems like maybe a bug in gtk, but I need to investigate more to be certain.

Hi Cody Russell, Did you find some workaround that we can use?
