I am using version 0.8.0.0 of the Xamarin Inspector on Mac OS X 10.11.4. I have installed Xamarin Studio 6.1 build 817 from the Alpha channel. I can create Mac OS X and Android workbooks, but not iOS workbooks. The workbook window appears, but the simulator never launches and the gray spinner stays in the screen. Trying to open an existing iOS workbook (from the samples on Github) causes an error that gives no additional information other than the workbook could not be opened. I've tried restarting everything but no progress.
As discussed in the forums, this may simply be an incompatibility with the alpha release of Xamarin, which we have not tested with workbooks yet. I will test and fix after Evolve.
Logs from the client would be helpful: https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/inspector/install/#Reporting_Bugs
Closing as this should be resolved. Latest Workbooks and Inspector release is supported on the current Beta and Alpha channel releases of Xamarin platform.
