Repro case showing behaviour
Issue is current in Forms 18.104.22.168-pre4.
Reported by customer. Repro case is attached. Steps to reproduce:
1. Run the repro case on device/emulator.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the listview.
3. Start collapsing the listview sections by clicking on the greenish numbered headers
4. Observe that the text in the headers starts to duplicate
This behaviour only occurs when the listview is scrolled down to the bottom. Attempting to reproduce this behaviour in other ways (collapsing cells in another order) does not show the issue. Perhaps related to recycling/caching of headers?
Customer has been in touch to state that this is now blocking their release.
I have tested an internal build of a new Forms package containing a fix (which carries a version number of 22.214.171.1243-pre1).
While it appears to fix the initial header duplication bug, it introduces a possible new regression where the section headers in the table fail to display header text when the page is initially loaded. After scrolling the table or collapsing/expanding the headers, the text is displayed.
Sorry that VerticalOptions="Center" is the trick, if you remove that on the Label in the GroupHeaderTemplate should work. I cleaned the sample a little bit to try identify the problem and that slip in my test.
We are looking into to issue with that option. Will keep you posted.
Should be fixed in 2.3.1-pre1
I have checked this issue with Xamarin.Forms 2.3.1-pre2 and its working fine.
Hence closing this issue.
