RESOLVED NORESPONSE

Description Joe Cooper 2016-04-22 08:52:22 UTC
I create an iOS bindings library, then attempt to use native types (nint, nfloat, ...). The compiler does not recognize them; it says that it expects an int or other type.

Conversely if I create an iOS class library, these types work correctly.

We'll need information, including all versions of the software being used.

The easiest way to get exact version information is to use the "Xamarin Studio" menu, "About Xamarin Studio" item, "Show Details" button and copy/paste the version informations (you can use the "Copy Information" button).

It seems weird that this would not have been caught by QA nor reported before now...

@Vincent can you double check that the latest C6 builds of XS ships with templates that can be compiled ?

@Joe can you paste the exact error (build log) or, even better, can you attach the binding project ?
Comment 4 Vincent Dondain [MSFT] 2016-05-04 15:16:20 UTC
Just tried the bindings library template with XS 5.10.4 (latest C6) and it's working just fine.

Also tried a binding project sample, working fine as well.

I can't reproduce that issue with native types.

Note: error logs and the guilty project would certainly help.
