Description James Clancey 2016-04-19 21:14:22 UTC
When I try and deploy an enterprise signed app I get the following error:

/Library/Frameworks/Xamarin.iOS.framework/Versions/Current/bin/mtouch -sdkroot "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer" -installdev "/Users/Clancey/Projects/MediaPlayer/MusicPlayer.iOS/bin/iPhone/Debug/build-ipad4.1-9.2.1/MusicPlayeriOS.app" "--devname=James's iPad"
error HE1901: The application 'com.IIS.MusicPlayer.iOS' has been signed with a provisioning profile which does not include any devices.

Application could not be uploaded to the device.
Comment 1 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2016-04-20 09:26:44 UTC
Can you sign and install apps with the exact same provisioning profile using Xcode?
Comment 2 David Stetz 2016-04-26 00:59:46 UTC
We are having the same issue. This only happens with enterprise distribution profiles since they do not have devices associated with the profile.
Comment 3 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2016-04-26 22:48:18 UTC
Can you try this build and see if works: https://files.xamarin.com/~rolf/xamarin.ios-9.8.0.298.pkg ?
Comment 4 David Stetz 2016-04-27 17:49:51 UTC
This build does fix the issue. The message now shows up as a warning instead of an error. Thank you.
Comment 5 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2016-04-27 17:55:59 UTC
Thanks for confirming!

I'll get this in before the final release.
Comment 6 David Stetz 2016-04-27 17:57:19 UTC
Awesome! Thank you!

I verified this issue with Xamarin.iOS 9.8.0.318.pkg and app built successfully with Enterprise provsioning profile and got deployed to device. Initial warning still exists but app builds and uploads successfully on device.

Looks like this defect regressed in the current alpha channel build.
Comment 13 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2016-06-08 07:27:29 UTC
@David, please open a new bug, and give your complete version information (from Xamarin Studio's About menu click on the Show Details button) as well as the complete deploy log with the error.
