Description FieldstrikeMobile 2016-04-12 15:06:07 UTC
If you change the Position property of CarouselView the CarouselView animates to the new position. There is no way of jumping directly to the new position.

If you have a list of 1000 items which you want to start at position 500 it takes a long time to get to the start position.

Are you only concerned with setting the starting position? If so, when you activate the CarouselView set the initial `Position` to 500. That should start you off at 500 without any animation.

While you can set the initial position and not see the animation I would like to control the initial position by binding Position to my view model.

I would also like to be able to change the Position after initialization without an animation. The reason behind wanting this is to have an 'endless' carousel (for example being able to select a diary day without having to create a list of all possible diary days ever.)

To do this I think Animation (DoesAnimate?) should be a property of CarouselView.

This is no longer an issue
