Add a shortcut key assignment in MD to Edit/Format/Format Document
In VS 2010 it's CTRL K,D
All commands are bindable.
Atm we don't support vs net like key combinations and are running out of bindable hotkeys therefore, that's why it's hard do find a key for that.
(Maybe the request should be do a vs.net like hotkey system ?)
The 'plan' is to never need the format document feature and let the on the fly formatter do it - in the 2.9.x alphas it's already turned on as default.
Minor correction: it *is* possible to bind "chords" such as CTRL K,D
But I don't know what binding we should use on OS X, since Cmd-K is "build" and Ctrl-K is "kill line".
