I upgraded my Ubuntu MATE 14.04.3 LTS Mono to the latest 184.108.40.206 version using the two PPAs in the instructions for Ubuntu. I use Mono with a weather program called Cumulus MX which logs data from my USB weather station. Mono 220.127.116.11 worked just fine, but 18.104.22.168 will not detect the USB weather station at all forcing me to use 22.214.171.124. What changed between these versions which broke USB detection?
Could you provide a test case that shows the issue you're experiencing? That would greatly help us troubleshoot the issue.
I am not sure how to do that. The weather station in question is a Fine Offset model which is detected fine using Mono 126.96.36.199. It doesn't matter if I upgrade to 188.8.131.52 or if I uninstall 184.108.40.206 and then install 220.127.116.11. Neither way detects the weather station.
I suggest you talk with the Cumulus MX people so they can assist you.
There's really nothing much we can do without knowing what the code in question is doing.
This is all the information I have:
All I know is my weather station is detected fine with 18.104.22.168 and is not detected with 22.214.171.124.
Upstream didn't provide the needed information to follow up with this issue.
