Description Matt 2011-08-24 16:00:56 UTC
When using the debugger, hovering on a variable in the source code usually brings up a small window which permits one to browse the value of the variable in question (object inspection may not be the correct term). This appears to be broken in the 2.6 RC 1 release. Sometimes it works, but more often than not it fails to do anything.

Please provide a test case so we can look at what the problem is, it might be a problem in parsing a particular kind of source.
Comment 2 Matt 2011-08-24 16:25:18 UTC
Miguel,

I cannot provide the source I am using, and would be hard pressed to guess at what part of my objects are leading to the problem. Is there possibly a log file that I can inspect for error messages / warnings?

Matt,

Is this still happening for you?
Comment 4 Jeffrey Stedfast 2011-12-12 17:55:18 UTC
If you could test with MonoDevelop 2.8.5 which will be released in the next few days, that would be great. I've fixed around 25 debugger bugs in the past 2 weeks for this release and some of them were similar to this, but without a test case I can't be sure.

Closing.
