the watch app correctly references the watch extension

Deployment message: Could not install the application Watch8Ball.app' on the device cdPhone6s
AMDeviceSecureInstallApplicationBundle returned: 0xe80000d4
(This app contains a WatchKit 2.0 app without an app extension. WatchKit 2.0 apps must contain a WatchKit app extension.).

Project:
https://github.com/conceptdev/xamarin-ios-samples/tree/master/Watch8Ball/WatchOS2

App can be successfully deployed and run on the iOS/watchOS simulator.

Note:

The solution explorer _does_ show a red-X in the references for the watch app - but there is no indication of what this means (nor why it still works on the simulator).

Full Deployment Output:

/Library/Frameworks/Xamarin.iOS.framework/Versions/Current/bin/mtouch -sdkroot "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer" -installdev "/Users/craigdunn/ProjectsConceptdev/xamarin-ios-samples/Watch8Ball/WatchOS2/Watch8Ball/bin/iPhone/Debug/build-iphone8.1-9.2/Watch8Ball.app" "--devname=cdPhone6s"
