Description Bojan Rajkovic [MSFT] 2012-03-02 16:23:34 UTC
In the MonoDevelop "review changes" view, the expanders in the list don't expand if multiple items in the list are selected. The only way to expand any of the expanders is to single-select an item in the list.

This screencast demonstrates the issue: http://screencast.com/t/UoK5KRr1t3I

Mitch: This works fine in plain GTK+ (I tried using gtk+/tests/testtreefocus), so the cause has to be sought in how exactly this part of MonoDevelop uses GtkTreeView. E.g. if they override button-press it could go wrong in there.

This seems to be an issue in the solution pad too. MD is specifically ignoring modifier-less clicks on selected nodes. There is no explanation why.

I tracked it down to the original commit that added multi-select support to the treeview:

Even though the code wasn't intended to do so, it looks like it has the side effect of preventing losing the selection in a ctrl-click (mac context menu) operation. Fixing that will be a little more complicated.

Fixed in master.
