Please join us on

Our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed on this bug
tracker over the years. Thanks also for your understanding as we
make these adjustments and improvements for the future.
Please create a new report on
Developer Community or GitHub with
your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a solution called SameName
2) Save this solution
3) Create another new solution called SameName
4) On the 'File Already Exists' dialogue, hit Cancel
User should be able to completely cancel the solution creation and attempt to re-name the solution
Hitting Cancel or Override affects the file in question only, and MD will go through each matching file and ask for confirmation.
I experienced this on MonoDevelop 184.108.40.206 but it also exists on the 2.8.6 builds.
I've experienced this as well. In addition, I've had the issue where the dialog won't event close and I have to restart MonoDevelop.
Zane, your issues are probably gtk focus related. usually clicking on the desktop and going back into monodevelop fixes that. If it happens again, let me know if that workaround allows you to click on the dialog buttons again.
The issue isn't hugely important but I'll take a quick look as it might be trivial to add the 'Use this answer for everything' button.
The new template system's validation will warn if filenames will conflict with existing files, and then ask once. Asking for each file isn't really necessary.
We still just don't handle this scenario correctly at all, I'm on XS 4.08.
How close are we to that new template system?
Thanks so much for taking the time to submit this report! I attempted to reproduce this issue based on the bug description with the latest Visual Studio 2017 for Mac Preview version 7.2, and I was unable to hit the problem. If this issue is still occurring for you, please reopen this report and attach a reproduction, ideally starting with a new template project and then adding just the code necessary to demonstrate the issue.
