Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2015-12-02 22:37:16 UTC
When clicking on the "your sdk is too old" message in the designer, the designer launches the SDK manager. However, it opens it via ShellExecute, so opens a command prompt. It also doesn't handle UAC elevation when the SDK manager needs it.

Both XS and VS handle this correctly, the designer should delegate to them.

I have followed the steps mentioned in above description. SDK Manager Window open after clicking on Open Android SDK link from designer but I am not sure how to check UAC elevation. Could you please let me know how to see this thing? This is the

Comment 2 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2016-01-11 19:00:02 UTC
This on;y occurs if the Android SDK is installed in a location which needs admin permissions to modify, e.g. Program Files.

IIRC this happens if the Android SDK is installed by Visual Studio or Android Studio.
