GtkSharp 2.12 on a Windows box will not create a jpeg "out of the box" using PixBuf with a stream that is a byte of a jpeg image. The reason is the gdk-pixbuf.loaders file does not contain a reference to a jpeg loader. If you run gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders to recreate the file it fails for jpeg, tiff and roco due to file names. gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders is looking for libjpeg-7.dll but the 2.12/bin folder contains a libjpeg7.dll file. Copying and renaming libjpeg7.dll to libjpeg-7.dll creates a jpeg loader when you run gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders. The libtiff3 file should also be named libtif-3 for gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders.
