Repro project

On Windows Phone 8, navigating from a page with a toolbar to a page without a toolbar leaves space at the bottom of the screen for a toolbar.

Any update on this? I'm still able to reproduce this is in the latest 2.3 pre-release.

Workaround steps:
1. In your WinPhone project in MainPage.xaml.cs set your ApplicationBar opacity (ctor or page Loaded event):

ApplicationBar.Opacity = 0.9;

2. In Xamarin.Forms PCL project in App.xaml set an OnPlatform resource:

<OnPlatform x:Key="ToolbarPagePaddingWP" x:TypeArguments="Thickness" WinPhone="0,0,0,72" Android="0" iOS="0"/>

3. Use previously created resource on your Page that contains ToolbarItems

<ContentPage Padding="{StaticResource ToolbarPagePaddingWP}" ...

It works :)

This does not happen with UWP on mobile so it appears to be a Windows Phone 8.0 only issue and therefore no longer on our roadmap.
