I am unable to performance profile my iPad app on the device using the Mono Profiler and opting to for "Record enter/leave events" using the default "Maximum call depth" (100).
It connects to the device & attempts to start the app, however, the app doesn't ever load (appears to crash and drop out). From the documentation I can see that this particular option in the Performance profiling is a little bit heavy so it could be a memory issue.
This crash is reproducible on the iPad 1 & 2. I am running MonoDevelop 220.127.116.11 and Mono 2.10.9
XCode version 4.2.1 (834)
Unfortunately record enter/leave events will not work on a device - it instruments each method with enter/leave events at jit time, but we can't jit when running on the device.
MonoDevelop has been modified to not allow this option when you profile on device.
