After upgrading to the latest Xamarin alpha, when I load my project I get the message:
Xamarin.XmlDocSync.Console has stopped working
With the option to close/search for solution. Telling it to close makes the window go away, but then it reappears twice more (i.e. this message shows up 3 times before finally going away).
Afterwards, a dialog box appears saying that Xamarin is going to update its documentation cache. After accepting that, things seem to be working properly.
This happened to me also, and it seems to be related to this problem im having. http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/54490/xmldocsync-has-stopped-working#latest
I reinstall VS2013, then VS2015 and the problem is still there. No Syncing between XAML and Code-Behind at all. Im not using RSharper btw.
The latest versions no longer seem to be doing this for me.
Fixed in version 188.8.131.527 (master)

This issue has been fixed on master branch but it's not public yet
I am no longer getting the crash dialog, but the error is still happening.
There is a little DocSync window with the "DocSetFolder not found" message and 3 never-ending spinners.
This leaves behind icons in the system tray every time I load/unload visual studio.
Un-re-opening this, since my last comment duplicates https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=37391
