Description alex.liu 2015-09-25 09:51:04 UTC
Webview not working when load some html string as content which contain urls(https://) as css.

Even I put this one in my plist file and still now working:
<key>NSAppTransportSecurity<key>
<dict>
    <key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key>
    <true/>
</dict>

Then I put some html string which has https:// urls inside this string as well as some css stylesheets links and assign with the following code :

public ProjectView(string contentHtml)
        {
            InitializeComponent ();
            var htmlSource = new HtmlWebViewSource();
            htmlSource.Html = contentHtml;
            webView.Source = htmlSource;
        }

In iOS < 9 it works and can load those html string and shown in a WebView but iOS9 with latest version not working.
BTW, i'm using Xamarin Forms.
Thanks Advanced.

My HTML string looks like this:

<!DOCTYPE html><html><head><base href="https://xxx.ca/"><meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"/><title>Report Content</title> <link href="https://xxx.ca/Content/bootstrap/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
    <link href="https://xxx.ca/Content/bootstrap/bootstrap-theme.min.css" rel="stylesheet" /><link href="https://xxx.ca/Content/stylesheets/mobilehistory/site.css" rel="stylesheet" />
    <link href="https://xxx.ca/Content/stylesheets/report-content.css" rel="stylesheet" />
            <style type="text/css">body ul{padding:0; list-style-type: none;}body ul li{-moz-user-select: -moz-all; -webkit-user-select: all; -ms-user-select: all; user-select: all;}</style></head><body><div><table class='table table-hover table-bordered table-fixed'><tbody><tr class='report-section-title'><td colspan='6'>Overview</td></tr><tr><td colspan='3'><span class='report-field-name'>Job Name</span>:  Sobeys #4719</td><td colspan='3'><span class='report-field-name'>Site Contact</span>xxxxxxxxx
make sure you sign IN and OUT. </td></tr></tbody></table></div></body></html>

Thank you for taking the time to submit the bug. We tried to reproduce the issue you reported but were unable given the description. If you could please attach a reproduction to the bug by starting with a clean Xamarin.Forms project and adding just the code necessary to demonstrate the issue we would very much appreciate it.

In my sample case I removed your links and used https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css and it works ok.

Warm regards,
Xamarin Forms Team

Actually it was caused by some links in my html like http://xxxx.com/bootstrap.css needs permission to access. I mean only person who has the AD permission can access them which made the whole full page unavailable due to some reason. So finally fixed by changed the permission then everything is good now.
