RESOLVED NORESPONSE

Description Jimmy [MSFT] 2015-08-25 17:59:13 UTC
*** Overview ***
There is a delay between a user touching the screen and the app responding when a view is first loaded. The view loads and touch events/ gesture recognizers are not listened for immediately. This makes it possible to try and interact with a control and it will not respond until a second touch is received since the first one was not detected.

*** Steps to Reproduce ***
1. Download and run the Touch sample: http://developer.xamarin.com/guides/cross-platform/application_fundamentals/touch/part_2_ios_touch_walkthrough/Resources/Touch_final.zip

2. Select “Touch Samples” and immediately try to interact with green “Drag Me” image
3. Select "Gesture Recognizer Samples" and again immediately try to interact with green “Drag Me” image

*** Actual Results ***
If you try to interact with the image very quickly, almost as if the view is still transitioning into view, the image will not react to the touch. You need to touch the image again before it will respond.

*** Expected Results ***
The app listens for and receives the touch event as soon as the view is visible.

This doesn't sound like a bug in Xamarin.iOS, but instead either how the sample is written or a bug in Apple's code.

Does the same thing happen with an Xcode project?
