I am using Visual Studio 2010 and the latest version of Mono for Android (4.0.3). I've discovered that if my application project contains a dot (e.g.: Company.Application.csproj), the option to deploy the application to a device is not available.
If I remove the dot (e.g.: Company-Application.csproj) and restart Visual Studio, the option to deploy the application is then available.
Note that the application itself does not match this name (the assembly name is just "Application"
When you say "the option to deploy the application to a device is not available", what do you mean?
Is there a menu option that is missing? Is the run button disabled? Does it error when it tries to deploy?
It may be unavailable elsewhere, but I found that when in this state, if you right click on the project name in the solution explorer, the "Deploy" option is not available.
Someone sent me a project where I could finally reproduce this.
Should be fixed for 4.2.
Thanks for the report!
