Description David Hathaway 2015-08-12 21:29:44 UTC
The Xamarin Android designer does not support the ability to drag fields around to different row/cells in a Grid Layout. To reproduce:

1. Add a new AXML layout to the Resources folder in an Xamarin.Android app.
2. Copy the following XML, and paste it into the AXML file, overwriting everything in there.
3. Click the "Content" tab to go back to the designer, and try to drag and drop the controls around to different rows/columns.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<GridLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    android:rowCount="7"
    android:columnCount="7">
    <TextView
        android:text="Message 1"
        android:textSize="14dip"
        android:layout_row="0"
        android:layout_column="0" />
    <TextView
        android:text="Message 2"
        android:textSize="14dip"
        android:layout_row="2"
        android:layout_column="0" />
    <TextView
        android:text="Message 3"
        android:textSize="14dip"
        android:layout_row="4"
        android:layout_column="0" />
    <TextView
        android:text="Message 4"
        android:textSize="14dip"
        android:layout_row="6"
        android:layout_column="0" />
</GridLayout>
