If I go to iosapi.xamarin.com (redirects to develop.xamarin.com/api/root/ios-unified) on my iPhone and try to search it doesn't work properly. More specifically, the search results appear, but when I try to tap on any search result link the results just disappear. It does not take me to the linked page.
The only way I can practically use the API documentation from my phone now is to search google. As bad as the old design was on mobile, I could at least manage to navigate it and find what I needed. Now it's almost useless.
Hi Adam ... I just ran a small test on both iOS and Android devices, and was able to navigate the search results. Either this issue was resolved in the intervening timeframe between when this was logged and now, or perhaps you're using another mobile browser? Can you try it again, and if it's still occurring, tell me what mobile browser you're using on the iPhone?
It used to have live search results as you typed, and that was what broke. Now it appears that there are no live search results (at least not on mobile).
There's still a usability problem in that if you start on a page about an API (say the UITextField class API documentation) and then search for another class then it defaults every time to "Guides, Samples & Recipes", which is almost certainly not what I want if I'm searching from within an API doc. Searching through the API docs is something I do very frequently, especially when helping people on the forums. It would be nice if it didn't keep trying to steer me back to guides and samples.
