Steps to reproduce the problem:
Enter the following code into an F# script with Xamarin Studio:

let filterOut item l =
  l |> List.filter (fun t -> not (t = item)) 

let f = 
  ["1";"2";"3"]
  |> filterOut "3"


Actual Results:

val f : string list = ["1"]

Expected Results:

val f : string list = ["1"; "2"]

How often does this happen? 
Every time.

Tested on Mono 4.2.0 and now works as expected.
