Comment 2 Jason Smith [MSFT] 2015-07-16 21:43:45 UTC
The tapped event fires when you tap the cell not the entry in the cell which ends up masking the event.
Comment 3 MiguelCervantes 2015-07-16 21:58:00 UTC
Originally I tried this on an Android (Cody was the one who gave me support by e-mail).

Still can't get the .tapped working like expected I tried tapping all over the cell and no event is fired, how can I achieve that?
Comment 4 Jon Goldberger [MSFT] 2015-08-28 16:17:38 UTC
I am re-opening this bug report as I am able to reproduce this issue using Forms 1.4.4. I have attached a test project.

It includes both a SwitchCell and an EntryCell in a TableView and in both the Tapped event does not fire when clicking the cell outside of the Switch or the Entry fields. On iOS the Tapped event fires when clicking on "blahblah" label in the switch cell or the "yaddayadda" label in the EntryCell, but on Android they do not.

## Steps to reproduce

1. Open the attached sample

2. Deploy to Android device or simulator.

3. Click on "blahblah" and "Click here" text labels.

Expected result: Tapped event will fire and "blahblah" and "yaddayadda" text will change to "Tapped".

Actual result: Tapped event does not fire and text is not changed.

## Note

You can launch the iOS version and see the expected result.

Correction to the bug description:
"On iOS the Tapped event fires when clicking on "blahblah" label
in the switch cell or the "Click Here" label in the EntryCell, but on Android
they do not.
Comment 7 Jason Smith [MSFT] 2015-10-16 05:07:36 UTC
Should be fixed in 1.5.2-pre1
Comment 8 Parmendra Kumar 2015-10-26 08:32:03 UTC
I have checked this issue as per comment #4 with Xamarin.Forms 1.5.2-pre1 and its working fine.

Hence closing this issue.
Comment 9 E.Z. Hart [MSFT] 2017-11-03 23:41:02 UTC
This is not working correctly on UWP. To reproduce, run the UI test for 32040 on UWP - the tap fires on the SwitchCell, but not on the EntryCell.
